We will be kicking off our Kids Heart Challenge next week! When your student joins Kids Heart Challenge, not only will they raise funds to help kids with special hearts, but they will also learn about heart health.
This year, any student who raises $150 will receive the limited edition, leader of our Heart Heroes, “Agent KHC”. Plus, if we raise $1 more as a school than last year we can PIE MR. HILL IN THE FACE! Let’s do it!

Language Arts:
We are using our text structure and text feature skills to write our own informational nonfiction "expert" books. Students have lots of notes to guide them in incorporating these features into their own books.
YOUR CHILD SHOULD HAVE THREE SUPTOPICS COMPLETED IN HIS/HER WRITER'S NOTEBOOK AND AN INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH! We have worked so hard on these in class.
Word Study:
Your child received his/her new word list today. Please ask your child to show you his/her neatly words in the planner. The 6 activities and 3 tests are due on Friday, April 9th.
Your child should have the new word study written in his/her planner. Your child should complete two activities from each of the three categories (phonics, vocabulary, spelling) and then complete the three tests for those sections. Ask your child about his/her word list.
3rd Grade Math:

OLT due 3-26-21-Friday (Students are allowed to have an adult type while they call out the answers.)

Social Studies: We are currently regions of the United States studying map skills. Soon we will learn more about the first people to settle in the United States.
Science: We are studying the scientific method, structures of life, animal adaptations, energy, motion and matter, and so much more.
