 DAY 2 WAS A SUCCESS!!

We are feeling so fortunate to have your sweet kids in class with us!  Just a few items to note:

***ATTENTION FOURTH GRADERS:  If your family checked out a Chromebook for you last year, please bring it in!  WE ARE KEEPING OUR CHROMEBOOKS IN THE ROOM THIS YEAR!

-Please send in healthy snacks for the morning.  Kids don't eat lunch until 12:05pm.

-Please make sure your child gets a zippered binder by Tuesday.

-Your child is bringing home a planner today.  This one will be used for the month and then we expect our new ones to arrive.  Please ask your child to show you his/her planner daily.  You can initial it to show us that you have read it and understand the expectations for that day.

-HOMEWORK:  Your child is receiving a Writer's Notebook assignment today as well as a notebook.  Please help your child start brainstorming for this assignment!

-Typical Homework:  Your child is expected to read daily at home.  Any reading material that you approve is okay with us.  We ask that third graders read for at least 20 minutes and fourth graders read for 30 minutes.  When math gets going, you will see almost daily homework from that class.

WELCOME TO THE 

2021-2022

SCHOOL YEAR AT BCS!!

 

 

The chimes have rung their hearty hello to both new and returning students.  Mrs. Butzin and Mrs. Frishman offer you a warm “Welcome”!  We will both be working with your children this year.  There will also be opportunities for your child to benefit from the expertise of the other teachers on the 3/4 team.  With a quick good-bye to summer activities, we look forward to a fun-filled school year.  We can’t wait to share all the exciting learning activities we have planned!  The best parts of the coming year, however, are the wonderful experiences that we will enjoy sharing with you and your children.

·       It is always a good idea to check our blog DAILY!  It will tell you what your child’s homework is, some things we did that day, and if there is anything else you need to know!

Choice Hour Begins: 3:25 p.m. 

Choice Hour Ends: 4:10 p.m. 

Half Day dismissal: 11:30 a.m.
