ASK YOUR CHILD TO GIVE YOU A THESIS STATEMENT ON ANY TOPIC!  PETS, UNIFORMS, JUNK FOOD, ANYTHING!

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS HEADPHONES OR EARBUDS THAT CAN STAY IN SCHOOL!!!  WE DON'T USE THEM EVERYDAY, BUT IT'S HARD WHEN WE NEED THEM AND THEY AREN'T AROUND!!  THANK YOU!!!

We started our unit on opinion writing.  We are currently learning how to write a thesis statement.  

New word study is due on Tuesday, May 7th!

 Your child will know their spelling sort as it is indicated on the assignment letter.
 Please read the letter and follow the directions. Locate your sort on spellingcity.com by clicking the red drop-down arrow for your spelling sort. Play the games under the tabs to help you learn the spelling patterns for these words. You can check which word study activities you have completed by clicking on ‘My Records’ after you log in.
Remember – DO NOT click the TestMe options on spellingcity.org. Save that button for the day of your test. (You can do the Spelling and Vocabulary Practice Tests though.)
     Have a parent initial each night at the bottom of the planner to show that they have done their daily required reading. You do not need to write the number of minutes or book title in the planner.

4th: 30 mins daily
Students - Please bring in a chapter book from home to read in class

Xtramath 3 rounds with Mr. C

**Xtramath practice 3 times per week (any day you choose) Complete a full work session, which lasts about 5-10 mins (until Mr. C says you are done!)

*School starts at 8:18 am Students should be in their homeroom seat by this time.

*Remember to bring in headphones or earbuds to keep at school
