Good afternoon!  We were so excited to welcome your kids back to school.  It felt so nice to have the students with us!  We are hoping to answer some supply questions for you as we worked hard today to get ourselves organized.  


Please review these lists with your child to ensure he/she has everything needed for our next school adventure! Thank you!

Daily After School Checklist for Parents:

  1.  Ask your child to show you his/her planner.  Writing in the planner is NOT OPTIONAL.

  2. View our blog to ensure your child has recorded everything in his/her planner.     www.fritzinbcs.blogspot.com

  3. Check to see that your child completed his/her homework.  

  4. If all work is complete, you can initial the planner.

  5. Have your child pack up his/her backpack for the next day of learning.

3rd Grade Reading:  20+ minutes

4th Grade Reading:  30+ minutes

***4th Graders:  Keep Reading those Battle Books!!!


Language Arts:  

We are using our text structure and text feature skills to write our own informational nonfiction books.  Students have lots of notes to guide them in incorporating these features into their own books.  

YOUR CHILD SHOULD HAVE THREE SUPTOPICS COMPLETED IN HIS/HER WRITER'S NOTEBOOK BY WEDNESDAY!  We have worked so hard on these in class.


Word Study:  

We will receive our new lists soon!

Your child should have the new word study written in his/her planner.   Your child should complete two activities from each of the three categories (phonics, vocabulary, spelling) and then complete the three tests for those sections.  Ask your child about his/her word list.  


3rd Grade Math: 

Quadrilateral Quiz on thatquiz is due Wednesday, (March 17)

We are currently regions of the United States studying map skills.  Soon we will learn more about the first people to settle in the United States. 


Science:  We are studying the scientific method, structures of life, animal adaptations, energy, motion and matter, and so much more.
