We had another great day today! We continue to talk about our themes for the
year and how we want to create a positive school family!
If your child has not brought in a WATER BOTTLE to keep here
or one that can go back and forth, please help him/her remember to pack one for
tomorrow!
Yesterday your child is bringing home a Planner Scavenger
Hunt. Please go over it with him/her and
have it returned by Monday. We are
always happy to take it early!
Your child is also brought home a Writer’s Notebook Assignment
that he/she can tell you about. This is
also due Monday!
Ask your child about the “Friends and Family Board” optional
assignment! This can be brought in at
any time!
Please have your child bring 1-2 chapter books to school each
day/week for DEAR time (Drop Everything and Read).
Every night we have reading homework. This can be done in any form. Your child can read on his/her own, out loud
to you, or listen while you read. Please
allow your child to read something of interest to him/her during this time to
make it the most meaningful for them!
3rd Grade Reading Homework: 20 minutes
4th Grade Reading Homework: 30 minutes
Math: Tomorrow we will
continue playing the games that your child created when completing this year’s
summer packet!
If your family has not yet finished reading, “Save Me A Seat,”
please do so ASAP as we will talk about this as a school community all
year!
