Monday, October 4th

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!!

It may have been gloomy outside, but it was bright and sunny in our rooms.  Your kids' smiles and energy light up our rooms!  Today we spent time reading "just right" books and working on our reading stamina.  We worked more on writing quality sentences as well as more about our Great Lakes.  It was a wonderful way to start our week!

The kids are very excited this week to switch to/from gym/swim.  For the next five weeks on Wednesdays and Fridays, Frishman is in the pool and Butzin is in the gym.  It will be a lot of fun!

Does your child read daily? Or, do they run from books like the plague? Regardless of what they think about reading, there’s something for everyone at the BCS Reading Rally!

All BCS students and their families are welcome at the BCS Reading Rally on Thursday October 7 from 6:30-8pm in the BCS Library.

We will have different stations set up where everyone can:

 ·  learn more about what our BCS Library has to offer from Mrs. Truesdell

·  meet librarians from the Baldwin and Bloomfield libraries to see what they provide

·  chat with a bookseller from the Bookbeat bookstore,

·  talk to experts about tips and tricks to help readers who have dyslexia and ADD or ADHD

·  explore the excitement and accessibility of ebooks and audiobooks

·  consider how to start book clubs with friends and family, and

·  check out the wonderful world of word games.

The BCS Reading Rally will be a fun family-friendly event for all that could be a game-changer for your child’s reading habit.

We hope to see you at the BCS Reading Rally this Thursday October 7 at 6:30pm in the BCS Library!
