Happy Columbus Day!

 

  Please make sure your child has headphones or earbuds at school to use throughout the whole year! Students will keep these at school. 


Please make sure you child has his/her planner everyday in their binder.  We write in these daily at school.  


Here's what we have for tonight:

Book Orders:  All orders are submitted and it usually takes 10+ business days for arrival. If you would like to place a book order, click on your teacher's link on the right side of this page. You can place your order any time! 


-3rd Grade Reading:  Please read 20+ minutes

-4th Grade Reading:  Please read 30+ minutes


-Social Studies: 

Post card project:  My Favorite Spot in Michigan is due on Friday, October 15, 2021.  

Ask you child to share with you the details of the assignment along with the sample that was assigned on September 29!


-3rd Grade Math Homework:  

-HR 1-14 (Journal Pages 1-14 were completed together in class.) 

-Today we reviewed all of the math strategies that we have learned!   Ask you child to explain to you the distributive property and commutative property of multiplication!

-I sent home Quick Quiz #1 and Quick Quiz #2 for a parent signature that was due 10/8.  A few students need new to return this ASAP!

-OLT due Friday, October 22  (I set these X/ timed tests to focus on 3 facts.  Students should study for at least a week each day before attempting the test.  The test will not appear until October 15.)

Xtramath:

Class Goal:  Everyone should graduate from addition by October 29! 

Three Times per week:  Complete a session with Mr. C until he says "You're Done!" You can complete more than one session by going out and signing back in again.  



 -4th Grade Math Homework:  

-Unit 1 tests went home today.  Please have them signed for tomorrow!

-We have online test #2 due on 10-22-21.  Practice first, have parents type, and record your scores.  Don't wait until the last minute to start.  There are four tests!! 

-Today we learned how to complete problems called Exemplars.  We are challenging our brains!


-Your child will keep the planner in the blue taken home folder that  lives in the binder .  This is a temporary planner, and we expect our new ones to arrive soon.  Please ask your child to show you his/her planner daily.  You can initial it to show us that you have read it and understand the expectations for that day.

 PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S PLANNER AND THIS BLOG DAILY!
