Language Arts:
Ask your child to show you his/her notes on Text Features in the writer's notebook. Your child should have quite a few notes on this topic. We will use those notes in a quiz that we will take during class tomorrow! Then we will use our skills to write our own nonfiction books!
Currently we are focused on Text Features and nonfiction text. Ask your child to show you the notes he/she has taken on nonfiction text features. Ask your child how these features help the reader!
Sarah Plain and Tall packets and books are due! We took the test and it was open book. IF YOU HAVE NOT TURNED YOUR BOOK OR PACKET, PLEASE DO SO THIS WEEK!
Word Study:
Today we recieved our new word lists. Your child should have it written in his/her planner. The work for this round of word study is due on March 12th. Your child should complete two activities from each of the three categories (phonics, vocabulary, spelling) and then complete the three tests for thsoe sections. Ask your child about his/her word list!
3rd Grade Math:
** We are taking the unit 3 test tomorrow and students should use the review we completed together in class a study guide. Study for 20 minutes for the test.
Make sure all of your journal pages for unit 3 are completed and use those as a study guide,
In class today we complete unit 3 quick quizzes 2 and 3. If you were absent, make sure you complete these for homework.
