The Last Week of School!

Move-Up Day & Game Day


·Board Games and Card Games play time in the afternoon. Bring in a game from home or play some that we have at school. Devices allowed!  





















Teach the Teacher & Sunny Reading!


·Put on sunscreen at home before you come to school.

·Bring several books, and sunglasses, a towel or a blanket, and a water bottle.

·We will enjoy learning from each other and reading outside!

·Wear a shirt with a positive message to show your Sunny Attitude

·Bring a BIG bag for locker and cubby clean out.


WACKY RECESS!



·Put on sunscreen at home before you come to school.

·Bring a bathing suit, towel, shoes that can get wet, and an extra set of dry clothes.

·You do not need to pack a lunch!  PTSA is providing lunch today!  (Hot dogs and picnic food.  You can pack if you have an allergy or don’t like this menu. Lunch line is closed.)

·No binder is needed.


END OF YEAR PARTY!!!

·Optional: yearbook/auto-graph book and a pen.

Language Arts

-We have finished typing our opinion writing essays in google docs and are so proud of the hard work your kids did!  Your child brought home a letter that explained the next steps for editing and revising.  This assignment and signed letter were due by Wednesday, June 1st.  We are also happy to take them early!  ASK YOUR CHILD TO SHOW YOU THIS ASSIGNMENT TODAY!

Word Study:  

Students wrote the words and the WW study codes in their planner   and these can be printed at home from Power Spelling. We will work on the online Savvas (Schoology) assignment in class throughout the week.  Students will practice the words with games on Power Spelling.

-3rd Grade Math Homework:  


-Study math facts for 10 minutes

- Xtramath: 3 times a week

We learned how to recognize perimeter and area.   We investigated the area of a rectangle by counting the number of square units inside the figure. We also found the perimeter of a rectangle by counting units around the outside of a figure. 


We will move on to Unit 6 and 7 before Unit 5 so that students have some practice with Geometry and Fractions before they take the M-Step in the spring.
