DTE Energy Kits Important Information!  
3rd graders have a DTE Energy Saving kit with many useful devices to use and install. Please take a look through the kit with a parent, and complete the survey (on paper)  by April 13th. Students who return the completed form will win a prize.  Students can turn in these forms anytime before the due date!  Students who are virtual can find this in the pick up area as soon as tomorrow! 

(4th graders did not receive a kits as this is the same program/kit from last year.)

Please note: DTE Energy and Consumers Energy are constantly trying to improve their programs. To participate in a short follow-up survey via email or text on your experience with this program, an adult should fill out the parent/guardian information. This information is OPTIONAL, however, providing parental contact information for the follow-up survey will give your family a chance to win a $50 Amazon eGift Card. One winner per classroom. In addition, the first 150 people who complete the follow-up survey will receive a $10 gift card.

Daily After School Checklist for Parents:

  1.  Ask your child to show you his/her planner.  Writing in the planner is NOT OPTIONAL.

  3. Check to see that your child completed his/her homework.  

  4. If all work is complete, you can initial the planner.

  5. Have your child pack up his/her backpack for the next day of learning.

Language Arts:  

We are using our text structure and text feature skills to write our own informational nonfiction "expert" books.  Students have lots of notes to guide them in incorporating these features into their own books.  

YOUR CHILD SHOULD HAVE THREE SUPTOPICS COMPLETED IN HIS/HER WRITER'S NOTEBOOK AND AN INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH!  We have worked so hard on these in class.


Word Study:  

Your child received his/her new word list today.  Please ask your child to show you his/her neatly words in the planner.  The 6 activities and 3 tests are due on Friday, April 9th.

Your child should have the new word study written in his/her planner.   Your child should complete two activities from each of the three categories (phonics, vocabulary, spelling) and then complete the three tests for those sections.  Ask your child about his/her word list.  


3rd Grade Math:

OLT due 4-26-21- (Students are allowed to have an adult type while they call out the answers.)

Students need a ruler for unit 6!
