ASK YOUR CHILD TO GIVE YOU A THESIS STATEMENT ON ANY TOPIC!  PETS, UNIFORMS, JUNK FOOD, ANYTHING!  Then ask your child what he/she has chosen to use for our opinion writing piece.  Everyone had to come up with a thesis, three reasons, and supporting arguments for each reason.  Next week we start the essay!!

Character Education Word of the week: FLEXIBILITY
·        “Freedom is the inherent strength of a compassionate involved in acts of kindness and evolved in a constant training of flexibility. There's no free spirit in a rigid body as only a mind with open willingness to change cannot get caught in a trap.” – Ana Claudia Antunes
·        “If you want to be more flexible and adaptable, practice challenging your comfort zones.” – Akiroq Brost
·        “If anything is clear, it is that a rigid, unchanging way is wrong.” – Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz
