– “Nature Appreciation” Wear Green, Think Green, and Live Green, and 3/4 and
5/6 students will be seeing the new Disney Nature movie, Penguins
· Tuesday
– “Hats off to Earth Day” Wear a Hat and use your thinking cap to learn how you
can help protect our earth
· Wednesday-
“Be Bright, Turn out the Lights” Wear bright colors today as a reminder to turn
off the lights when not needed or leaving rooms
· Thursday
– “Work as a Team” Wear your favorite team shirt (or a uniform from the
team you play on) and help to pick up trash on the playground during recess
Celebrate Earth Week at BCS...We will be
celebrating Earth Week with opportunities and learning experiences throughout
the week. Following are some of the opportunities occurring throughout
the week. The entire school is asked to participate in…
- collecting eyeglasses to be reused (collection bin will be outside the main office)
- collecting old markers to be recycled (collection be is outside the media center)
- Adopt an animal change drive (outside the main office, drop your change in the jar for the animal for whom you’d like to vote)
- Waste Free Lunches (practice a waste free lunch with reusable containers versus container you throw away or recycle)
- "Turn You Key – Be Idle Free” (be sure to keep you engine off when awaiting to pick up your child in the loops or parking lot)
