Student Led Conferences:  March 20-21
On the right side of the blog, you will see the sign up genius buttons for student led conferences.  Please click on your child’s homeroom sign up button. 

Please sign up for a time that works best for you and your child as he/she will be leading you through this student led conference. 

You will need to go to the full website (home computer) in order to see the sign up.


Your child’s math teacher will give math notes/progress to the homeroom teacher. You only need to sign up for one conference time with your homeroom teacher. Looking forward to seeing you!

BCS SPIRIT WEEK – March 11-15
Leading up to our BCS Big Top Blast will be our annual Spirit Week, sponsored by our 7/8 Spirit Committee, marking each day with a different theme. The Spirit Week flyer has all the details!
·       Tuesday, March 12 – Hobby Day (wear clothes that show what you like to do)
·        Wednesday, March 13 – Fancy Clothes Day
·       Thursday, March 14 – 80’s Day
·        Friday, March 15 – Pajama Day

Access www.spellingcity.com (from this blog) Login.
 Your child will know their spelling sort as it is indicated on the assignment letter.
 Please read the letter and follow the directions. Locate your sort on spellingcity.com by clicking the red drop-down arrow for your spelling sort. Play the games under the tabs to help you learn the spelling patterns for these words. You can check which word study activities you have completed by clicking on ‘My Records’ after you log in.
Remember – DO NOT click the TestMe options on spellingcity.org. Save that button for the day of your test. (You can do the Spelling and Vocabulary Practice Tests though.)
     Have a parent initial each night at the bottom of the planner to show that they have done their daily required reading. You do not need to write the number of minutes or book title in the planner.


Reading:  
3rd: 20 mins daily
4th: 30 mins daily
Students - Please bring in a chapter book from home to read in class
