Hello Team Fritzin Families!

We are ready to embark on another week of online school at home.  Everyday we talk about how much we miss you and that being without you is not easy!

Even though we’re all at home, we can still stay in touch with one another. Please feel free to email us anytime!  We have received pictures of you reading, playing in your yards and enjoying time with siblings.  Some of you have even started your own Genius Hour projects and plan to share with us soon!  Wow!

Both of us think it would be helpful for you to make yourself a list each day of what you hope to accomplish.  Don’t worry if you can’t always accomplish all that is on your list, but it’s always helpful to have goals to work towards!

Please check out the ¾ Google Classroom that our ¾ team of teachers has created for you.  There are so many amazing opportunities but we don’t want you to be overwhelmed.  Here are three suggestions that you might enjoy starting with:

  • Language Arts: Spice Up Your Writing with Nearpod
  • Science: Take a Soil, Rock and Landform Virtual Tour
  • Social Studies:  Map Your Way to Success

Remember, it is always okay (and encouraged) to take a break from the screen and pick up a good book.  We have family reading times in both of our homes where everyone enjoys an actual book for at least 30 minutes.  We also encourage you to learn and/or review your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts in any way that works for you.  Feel free to use the learning resources we have on our blog that you are already used to.  They are always available to you!  Finally, your parents are in charge and we want you to complete anything your parents ask you to do!  As always, they are the final word.

We’ve included a sample daily home schedule below and will post another update on our blog for you this week.  Until then, enjoy your self-directed learning and we can’t wait to hear more from you.

        Love,
       Mrs. Butzin and Mrs. Frishman
