Dear 3rd and 4th grade students and parents,
The 7th and 8th grade student leadership committee is organizing a talent show for 3rd and 4th grade students. In order to participate, students and/or their parents must fill out the Google Form linked below. Here are the important dates to know:
Monday, November 8: Google Form due
Wednesday, November 10th: First audition during Choice Hour
Wednesday, December 1st: Second audition during Choice Hour (for those who were unable to attend the first audition or for those who needed to work on their performances and try again)
Wednesday, December 15th: Rehearsal during Choice Hour
Friday, December 17th: Talent Show during school hours.

-GOAL SETTING FORM DUE MONDAY (Nov. 12, 2021):
Students will be setting their academic goal and character goals. Please use the letter (yellow paper) coming home to guide you in planning an academic and character goal.
-3rd Grade Reading: Please read 20+ minutes
-4th Grade Reading: Please read 30+ minutes
-Word Study:
-We started our online practice with our word study words. Ask your child to show you the program and the activities they completed. If the work is not done, it can be completed at home or throughout the week in class.
-Share the word list and at 'home work extra help list' that is coming home with a parent.
-We started working in our word study books. Your child is working hard in class over the next two weeks. We will take a test in class on Monday the 22nd. Please ask your child to show you his/her words. Students have a word list in their blue folder and have also written the words in the planner. Your child’s list corresponds with how they performed on the Spelling inventory. Word study codes are: WW (within word), SA (syllables and affixes), DR (derivational relations)
-These are lists for the next 2 weeks. Your child has a copy of their word list that came home.

-3rd Grade Math Homework:
-OLT (focused on 9's facts) due Monday, December 6 Make sure you practice your facts before taking the test which is focused on 9's multiplication and division facts.
Xtramath: 3 times a week
Three Times per week: Complete a session with Mr. C until he says "You're Done!" You can complete more than one session by going out and signing back in again.
